Following 2 succesful New York State Championship tournaments we decided to expand the formula to following states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania. If any of the managers from these states are interested in playing please sign up below. Additionally I am going to send the personal inviations to the top managers as well.
This tournament is aimed at choosing the best team in Northeast every season and its 2 phase system will not interfere with US Open Cup or NSW in any way and will allow to let any team participate in the cup for as long as possible.
Eventually, I will send the formal invitations to all Northeast team from top 3 levels. C League teams are encouraged to post here if they are interested in participation. Actually any team is welcome to do it so we know at which stage we are progressing.
SYSTEM:
- Only the teams from New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are allowed to participate.
- The Championship will consist of 2 Phases: Elimination Round and Final Four (in certain cases Final Six).
- The Tournament starts on week 5 (Wednesday 6) of the season with the Elimination Round and will involve all the teams that have been eliminated from US Open Cup.
- Any team that has made it past the 5th Round of US Open Cup will qualify for Final Four (Final Six) automatically.
- If 2 or less teams make it past the 5th Round of US Open Cup we will play the Final Four – home and away weeks 9 through 14.
- If 3 or more teams make it past the 5th Round of US Open Cup we will play the Final Six – single matches only weeks 9 through 13.
- The Elimination Round will last between 1 and 4 weeks depending on the number of teams.
- All the teams will be seeded according to the note average of last 5 matches before any draws required and draw results will be posted gradually every hour in order to keep the participants in suspense.
- Any do or die matches will be single (cup system) and played at lower ranked team stadium.
- The managers must post their team name on this forum, do not join any friendly leagues until they are eliminated from Northeast Championship and be willing to cooperate in order to participate.
- Any suggestions are welcome.

Should any of them win another US Cup match they will avoid playing the elimination round.
