Subject: Buying on line in USA, please advise

I salute you Americans and I thank you in advance for your little attention to my insignificant message and request, I hope your mods will forgive me :)

A friend of mine would like to purchase smth from USA, namely a notebook and he has found some bargain / promotional prices before Christmas, the problem is that they do not deliver to Europe... moreover, the prices radically rose in 2012.

My ... or his question is: when will be the next expected price reduction for such goods ? Before Eastern?

I really thank you for your answers, any suggestion will be welcome.

I'm not sure there is a timeframe for price reductions in notebooks like there is in other kinds of electronic equipment (e.g. tv's always drop again in March).

I don't know about that either, if it was me I'd just keep checking sites like Newegg and daily deal sites like Woot.

There will be deals out there on the interwebs if you are patient.
