Today we won against Latvia U21 2:0. The result could have been higher if we had been more effective in attack. The good news is that our opponent did not have a clear situation to score a goal. Two goals for our team were scored by Lewis Sutton (Atlantic FC), assists were scored by: Oswald Tyler (Fenix Barca) and Greg Johnson (Boscy Footbolowcy). A debut in our squad was scored by 19yo midfielder Emanuel Torn (FC Slovan Bratislava 19).
Next week we will play the U20 squad against Ireland U20. It will be a very difficult match.

Yesterday we won against Ireland U20 2:1. We played with the U20 squad with an offensive tactic of 4-3-3. We were the dominant team throughout the match, but Ireland was the first to score a goal and won by the break 1:0. We took advantage of two goal situations in the second half. Today we won against Paraguay U20 2:0. We were a much better team, but the goals for our team were in the 85th and 88th minutes of the match. Owen Ambersley (Germanie-Ś.P.) scored his first goal for the USA U21 national team, while Lewis Sutton (Atlantic FC) scored his 13th goal for our team at 2:0. We played with the U20 squad. In the second half of the game we played an offensive 4-3-3. We are constantly fighting for the highest place in the world ranking. We want to be in the TOP 34 to be drawn from Pot 2 before WCQ. Next week we will play against Costa Rica U20.

Very good result. I hope that my player will play on World Cup :-)

On Saturday, in the 2nd round of Group D of Copa America U20, we won against Costa Rica U20 7:0.
In the first half we played ineffectively and scored only 1 goal. In the second half we played great and took advantage of the goal situations created. As many as four of our strikers scored goals: Lewis Sutton (Atlantic FC) - 2 goals and 2 assists, Pierre Shultis (Dinamo T) - 1 goal, Cade Dayak (FC Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski), who entered the pitch in the 60th minute - 3 goals (hattrick!), Owen Ambersley (Germanie-Ś.P.), who entered the pitch in the 68th minute - 1 goal and 1 assist. In addition, Greg Johnson (Boscy Footbolowcy) also scored an assist. Against Costa Rica, of course, we played a very offensive 4-3-3 formation.
In the second match of our group, Cuba beat Paraguay 4:0, but a 21yo player played in the Cuba team and the result is counted as a walkover 3:0 for Paraguay. We are in 1st place in the table and are very close to the quarterfinals. We will play against Cuba on Saturday.

Yesterday we played a fantastic match against Cuba U20 and won 2:0. In the 44.minute a goal for our team was scored by Pierre Shultis (Dinamo T). In the 57.minute, after a pass from Oswald Tyler, Lewis Sutton (Atlantic FC) scored the goal. In this match we played with a tactic of 4-1-3-2. The tactic was effective, as our opponent, who was the favorite, had only 1 shot in the entire match. We won Group D of the Copa America U20 with a balance of 3-0-0 and goals of 11:0.
Our opponent in the quarterfinals will be Ecuador, who played in the World Cup U21 finals this season.

We lost in the semi-final match of Copa America U20 against tournament favorite Colombia 0:2. 20yo Foster Madden (Dinamo T) made his debut as a forward in the match. Next week we will play against Mexico in the match for 3rd place in the tournament. Several young players will be added to the USA U21 NT in the coming week.

Today we won the Copa America U20 bronze cup! In the match for 3rd place we won against higher ranked Mexico U21 1:0. The goal for our team was scored by debutant 20-year-old striker Jimmy Kay (FC Lawrence). Despite the fact that after the age change, the rules of the competition allowed 21-year-old players, I agreed with Mexico's coach that we would both play the U20 squad in this match to avoid any possible cards for the 21-year-olds, which would exclude them from the first WCQ match, which will be in a week's time. Mexico's coach reneged on his deal, as he fielded a 21-year-old striker from the start of the match. Justice won out, as the same player already received a red card in the 12th minute after a foul on our player. From the 12th minute, only U20 players played on the pitch. The match was evenly matched, both teams had chances to score goals. In our team played many debutants.
