I think it should be reviewed what is an assistence in that game.
A lot of times, a player kicks on goal, it goes to the post or the keeper tackles to another player that scores. Sokker engine says it is an assist. It is NOT.
Often the winger goes to the corner, crosses, the striker controls the ball, dribble the defender and strike. It SHOULD be an assist, sokker engine says it was not.
Sometimes the winger crosses to the striker, he just control the ball for one second, than kick and score...the engine say its NOT an assist. SHOULD be one.
I think the engine just consider an assist if the striker kicks STRAIGHT away, without controlling or doing any action. That is not ONLY what an assist is. The assist is doing a pass that put the striker in good conditions to strike, but he can control the ball, maybe a short drible, do a sprint, etc.
And if a player KICKS on goal and a rebound happens it should never count as assist, is an "assi...dent", not an assistance.

you can't even call it a bug because it's a whole system of 'bugs' but i agree: the way how an 'assist' is accorded or not is often wrong in this game.
17 goals made while apparently i've only 1 player which gave 2 assists ... no, i don't play with a 'striker vs a whole team tactic' so according to sokker most of the rest of those goals fell out of thin air? :p

Yeah, I mean...you dont have many options here, or is a bug or an idea. I think is a question of adjustment on the criteria. For example, my last cup match I won by 5x0, and I think 4 of that goals were assisted, but the engine computed only one. And very often rebounds count as assists.
THe number of assists is a good information about the player, so I would like it to be better computed.

I am new in the game and I was about to put the same question here.
Glad to see that a lot of people cares, even though nothing changed since all of your comments. Maybe now, with all the changes Sokker will experience in the near future there could be some hope for this matter.
