Looking everywhere for sci-fi movies that aren't too old. Can't find any that i haven't seen and watchable. So 4 rating and lower on IMDb is almost always crap.

"Moon" from 2009?

Sam Rockwell..

thought it was pretty decent watch..

As a matter of fact it was first movie I thought about after reading his post but I didn't wrote anything because I had thought he watched it for sure and I still think he already watched it.

Anyway, from relatively recent movies I watched, I think Upgrade, What Happened to Monday and Okja were ok and Midnight Special was good. Also City of the Lost Children is definitely worth watching for its scenography, decorations etc. and the movie itself is also good but it is older than 20. Renaissance is also interesting for its "cinematogrphy" but it is animation. Robot & Frank is very little sf from what I remember but might be the best of these movies. Hope I helped but none of these movies is absolutely great and I think Charles didn't watch max 2 of those if any ;)

Moon I have seen :) I gave that one an 8, I don't do that very often.

Robot & Frank, I gave it a 6.

What Happened to Monday, I stopped watching because it became to late in the evening and for some reason never watched the end. Still have to do that.

I think I have watched Midnight Special but forgot to rate that one. Have to watch the beginning to see if that is the case.

Except for Upgrade, the others are already on my watchlist so I won't forget them, but not yet interesting enough to start watching. Maybe I have to do that first, who knows, maybe I get surprised.

Thanks

I rated Renaissance a 6. Some nice techniques and effects for black and white animation, story is less interesting as the looks of it.

City of the Lost Children, great movie indeed. I'm sure this one didn't age. 20 years is not that much for such a movie ^_^

some movies never age! terminator 1 and 2, alien, aliens, blade runner.. numerous others, but too tired to think..

I made the mistake to watch T1 again, should not have done that. It is not a high end movie, to say it in a positive way. Best was for me not to watch it again and just remembered the great storyline and awesome special effects ..... ;P

For me first Terminator is the only proper Terminator. Great movie. Dark and with proper terminator, not some toy playing with kids in stupid quotes. However, 2 was generally ok but nothing more and the rest... well... you know how it generally is with sequels.

It is really surprising that in case of Mission Impossible series (if I can call it that way) newer parts are on par with the first one (1 was good, 2 was shit, 3 was meh, but 4, 5, 6 especially 5 was also good or even very good)

Snow White told same thing with the Dwarf...

Just watched Final Score, gave it a 5.

Also watched Han Solo, also a 5, but could be less. Always hoping for that one great Star Wars movie, but with Disney it won't happen :/
