Maybe autocad, see what I still can do or learn (incl 3D render)
And the common stuff.
And I hate waiting for things to load, my patience is about .5 seconds when it comes to computers ;P

Well for that you should go for high end PC. You need a good GPU and enough of RAM.

i would think 14 inchers are much more practical, if you need to carry them for what ever reason.
Second you must have SSD ( ithink there are still some with HDD around) Fast WIFI and a SDXC card place. I think they are many times needed. With that card place you can within a few years add 1TB memory card for a few euros..
And is a very cheap backup insted of paying web services every month a seemingly low price for more space..
But in your case the most important thing is Christening your new machine correctly!
Fill the bathtub with hot holy water, make sure that windows or Linux (BSD is not so good, it's commie OS since it comes from California :) is running and gently lower the machine in the holy water!
And love will be with you and your machine for ever and CG will say many prayers for you!

Like in grandmother's time when shopping groceries; you had the more expensive strawberry jam and cheaper strawberry jam. Not the 10+ different brands, smaller, larger, and large jars, light, extra light, less sugar, NEW tast, etc etc.
