2018-02-14 13:59:02

I think the technology behind it is incredible and we are going to see a lot more real use cases in the future. I am not focusing that much on cryptos but more on the underlying technology.

There is simple rule about it.
If you dont understand how it works dont go into it ;]

I just can't comprehend what the hell is mining

Mining is the use of your Computer to do some Algorithms.

This algorithms is no more than Check, Approve, and write Transactions (in case of Bitcoin)

The call Blockchain is a magnificent technology, and very simply.
Is no more than a tool to write blocks of information (anything) and keep it to search for it.
If more users have their Computer suporting this Blockchain, decentralizating info is availeable to everybody.

P.D: Sorry for my english, AGUANTE MESSI!!!
2018-04-03 09:13:47
aha, so, basically, your computer is "writing a receipt" of a transaction made with bitcoins? can that be hacked somehow or is it "written in stone" sort of way?

yea, decentralization would make abusing value much more difficult..

anyway, you English is perfectly fine, i'm just amazed how you managed to squeeze Messi into bitcoin topic XD
2018-04-03 19:33:59
can that be hacked somehow or is it "written in stone" sort of way?

No, because every Computer that is "mining" have that "Receip".
an for that can be hacked you have to delete or hack ALL MACHINES

And, if you hacked 70% of them, the rest WONT aproub that "transaction, or entered data" and will NOT put them into the Blockchain.

That´s what DESCENTRALIZED MEANS!!!

In a bank, you hack his system (only in one server) and that´s it... You succed wich you do.

In Blockchain, theres millons of "servers"... your computer become a server, while you mine.
If you mine well, you have your reguard or payment...In bitcoins.

that explains why a government sees it as a threat to standard monetary system.. my neighbor is into all that mining thing, he says he has about 8 computers connected that work non stop :O.. he complained that he had trouble finding adequate graphic cards because all the best graphic cards for mining were sold or very expensive XD
he says that he earns OK, even after paying the electric bills.. but that it is very hot in that room where he keeps comps XDDD
2018-04-05 10:20:05
and they use so much electricity ... yay
