Ohh, so total unknown figures, long live the wurst! :P

I saw them a few times, nothing special ;)

But with Ireen Wüst only 7 athletes have done this, gold medals in 4 different Olympics. So the other 6 are also great athletes.

Still second in Medal table :) Looking at the number of medals and population per country, Norway is clearly ahead (9 medals, ranked third and a population of only 5 million), but the Netherlands is also doing great.

Tomorrow short track and speed skating, multiple changes for the Netherlands to win (gold) medals :) But specially with short track it will be difficult, South-Korea need to win medals.

Also some other spectacular sports tomorrow; luge, snowboard half pipe and men's alpine combined downhill (if their isn't too much wind).

Two medals for us so far. Didn’t have high hopes for these games, was thinking something like six medals could be realistic. And it is. A bit disappointed with Mäkäräinen in biathlon but she just can’t shoot in difficult conditions. Gold will be really hard to reach in these games but there are still lots of chances. Hoping for a medal in:
- Nordic combined (Hirvonen or Herola or team competition)
- Pärmäkoski might bring another in crosscountry
- Niskanen in 50km skiing
- Ladies ice hockey (bronze, USA and Canada in the final as usual)
- Men’s ice hockey (anything can happen with these teams)
- Speed skating 500m (Poutala)
- Ladies 12,5km biathlon (Mäkäräinen)
- Ladies 4 x 5 km cross country

I guess we should at least few of those. I love the Olympics, shame I have to work during most of the events.

Does anyone actually care about anything on Winter Olympics?

Alpine skiing, the rest is expendable. Maybe hockey as well.

Did I mention another gold medal for the Netherlands?? And you won't guess it, it was speed skating, this time 1000m women :) Which is a surprise and unexpected.

Nice to see a happy face, unexpected gold makes someone a bit more deeply and truly happy.

And because of this 5th gold medal and 11 medals in total, the Netherlands still second on the medal table! Unbelievable.

Snowboard halfpipe is really spectacular! Unbelievable what these people can do. Amazing tricks.

Those half pipe snowboarders are really great !

I find it only sad , that most people think that shaun white is the best snowboarder in the world.
What isn't true, he is the best half-piper in the world ;)

Just all hail the king travis rice ! :)

Half Pipe :

A thought for Ayumu Hirano..
The guy should have had gold in 2014 at age 15y.. The same this year. 2 times stolen by judges :/
It should be the advent of the greatest champion of the snowboard, the passing of power between two huge champions.
But no..
2018-02-15 17:49:36
That's the problem with sport and judges. Timed sports are more easy to know who is the winner.

Aaahh, no gold medal 10km speed skating ........ 'Canadian' Bloemen (yes, was till 2014 Dutch) won the gold medal, we have 'only' silver.

Would have been ridicules if all was Dutch gold :P
2018-02-15 21:10:53
We are still stealing the gold from men’s 500m! ;)
