Subject: NBA 2012-2013

I saw no thread, so here it is.

Season already started and there are some contenders rising already like the Rockets that needed a big name like James Harden to compliment their solid but no star player team and early dissapointments like the Lakers and their "Big 5" that haven't managed to win at all (including a preseason loss against the Kings with their starting players). The Hornets are looking like their rebuilding process is accelerating and the Clippers have proven to have a solid bench and starters (Now that Travis Leslie is cut, i hope they sign Adam Morrison.) Also this is going to be a sad season without the White Mamba. :(

Here's how i think it is going to be:

East

1. Heat
2. Celtics
3. Pacers
4. Bulls
5. Sixers
6. Knicks
7. Nets
8. Hawks

West

1. Spurs
2. Thunder
3. Clippers
4. Lakers
5. Rockets
6. Grizzlies
7. Mavericks
8. Hornets

I would swap Indiana with New York in your standings.I think they have a solid team and a decent bench that will see them finishing top 4 the regular season.

WTF? What about Denver Nuggets? They're a very promising team! Also Orlando may have a chance, even if after Howard's trade the team is still struggling to find its own identity!

Supporting Clippers and Lakers. Talking about LAC I am sure they will have better season, than LAL. This was my thought even before the pre-season started. Dwight Howard is a decent player, but not better than Bynum and won win any titles with LAL. I actually like Bynum more, when he is healty. 38y old Steve Nash is not that good anymore, when he was in his prime. Lakers has no one on the bench...But Clippers bench is probably on of the best in the whole league. Grant Hill and Billups are still missing.

James Harden is doing really fine. I wouldn`t be surprised if he would become the next scoring king. Start has been really good.

My money is on Clips to win the whole thing.

The West is tough, mate. The Nuggets have a chance at a 7th or 8th seed, but in the end I think New Orleans will get that eight spot after some quality games shown against the Jazz and the Spurs, they're showing for now a lot of improvement. As for the Magic, i don't think they're going to make it this year since the rebuilding process is underway and it's not their number one priority to get to the playoffs, but i think they'll have a solid season for a rebuilding team.

Lakers have fired Mike Brown.

I almost fell of my chair. My god, the Lakers had zero patience with this guy, although it was a fact that Brown would be fired at the end of this season or at least at the end, but not after 5 games.

Clippers won't win anything when they have Vinny on the bench ;)

My two favourite teams are timberwolves and bobcats.

Will see. I support clips and might even make a small bet, but few teams have better chances winning it all. Overall I think Heat will win, but anything can happen. Season has been pretty interesting so far. I likewolves aswell, but can`t find a reason why one should support bobcats (beside mj).

:)

Well Bobcast 'were' Charlotte Hornets some time ago, and Hornets were quite cool...:D

They were cool when they had Mugsy Bogues and Larry Johnson.

BIYOMBO! This is a guy that I root for the most i think. I believe he will brake out in two years and will be great defensive force in this league. Great story this guy has and got to love the spark in his eyes. Love the rookie MKG and the defence and energy that fellow rookie Taylor brings(future Battier- mark my words).

They are high pick from next years draft, one top free agent and emergence of Mullens and Walker, away from being great young team with bright future. Loving coach Dunlap as well.

It's good to see the Bobcats improve after that lackluster season. On the other hand... the Wizards look like they aren't trying anymore.

Love Bledsoe though!

I would take your bet! Let's say no clippers in the finals and you name the prize :)

You say no Clippers in the finals? Do you mean conference final or NBA final?

If Clippers manage to get in the finals, then you have to make a comeback and start playing Sokker again like a normal manager:)
