'Shame on them for drinking alcohol'

Indeed, a true crime! How dare they!! Alcohol? Jailtime!

Euh .. I wonder how often I was a criminal before my 17th. I guess I should have been jailed for life :P

Your mothers didn't teach you how to follow rules and behave in other people's homes.

If it was in someone's home ... but it wasn't.

Spastic over drinking a few fermented drinks at the age of 17. Ridiculous. Getting drunk is not that smart, specially not when playing a world cup, but is ofcourse no crime.

Respect your guests!
If leaders of countries, often frustrated men, can't handle normality, don't invite the free world, don't host world events.

And btw, my mom did fine.

In my country it is prohibited to sell alcoholic beverages to minors under 18 years of age , anyone who sells them is punished. Although young people always find a way around it. I myself got drunk before I was 18, I don't even remember what the law was at the time.
But what I said is that if you are in another country, you need to follow local laws, and that is a fact. It's a matter of respect.
And I was referring to the mother of the under 17 boys who were arrested, not yours. I must have used the wrong expression.

How is the law in Indonesia regarding drinking for minors? I've heard from polish media that p[unishments can be severe at that was the main reason they send those players so quick home. Is this true? I did a quick google search but only found this:

https://www.indonesia.travel/sa/ar/general-information/local-law
The legal age for drinking in Indonesia is 21 years old. Those who are caught drinking outside the legal age will face serious punishment or charges from the authorities.
