irony, even software protecting your phone or other communication devices are collecting data to be able to sell their product to even more people, and when it's 'free' you get spammed with ads, often based on your online activities, visited locations, and more. Feeling secure while being online on your Apple or Huawei, and/or using Google, Facebook, Whatsapp is like feeling secure while walking in a minefield .... (only 2 of many examples we know of: Cambridge Analytica and Cubeyou, not to mention countries collectiong massive ammounts of data about whatever they can.)
Oh, and 5G is coming, 5G infrastructure needs thousands more transmission tower to cover the same area as 3G and 4G. If 'they' want, they can track you even better, pinpoint exactly where you are.
And what company is the cheapest realising this netwerk of 5G .... Huawei (a compay that has to give all info to the government of China when asked for, or even has to make backdoors to use for (company) spying or even shutting down the network when it is in a favor of China!). Does your country have large airports, (semi) fully automated harbours, worldwide banking system, stock market, etc and is using Huawei? In more and more countries it is forbidden to use Huawei for 5G, or at least critical parts to run the country. And the USA is almost just as unreliable, a fake ally. Same kind of rules when it comes to 'protecting the nation (whatever that means!)
Luckily Russia is still nothing when it comes to this kind of technology, then there would be a third country to be aware of. They are 'only' busy with social network apps and a virusprotecting company. Oh, I forget the spying part, spreading virusses, and sending out fake news to destabilize neighboring counties and EU countries to get political influences (or even take controle in countries and/or steal parts of countries: for example Georgia, Ukraina, Belarus). And data collected in Russia has to be stored in Russia, ofcourse to be able to always look into the data.
It is all linked, or not all but a lot.
