Subject: WC2006 ... cheap rooms instead of hotel

2005-12-21 12:24:24
check this link! it is the most famous site in Germany for advertising houses and what else. And as I saw today a special "WM 2006 offer" category.

For foreigners THE best opportunity to stay as cheap as possible and f*** the expensive hotels.

All Germans are very proud and happy to host you private, so that link might help ... dont throw lunch there or destroy things if your team has lost. just make friendship and make new friends who help you when you are sad because of your team ...

greets spaten

I spend World Cup near Hannower (to my aunt ;)) And probably see one match (Poland-Costa Rica) :)

I'm hoping to catch some games even if Norway didn't qualify, as long as they are in the Ruhr, like for instance:

Trinidad - Sweden (cheer for Trinny of course!)
Sweden - England (cheer for England)
Argentina - S & M (cheer for Argentina)
Czech rep. - Ghana (cheer for Ghana)
Togo - France (cheer for Togo)

By the way, what does "Entfernung: 7,39" mean? Distance from the stadium?
2005-12-21 14:46:04
Yes it's the distance to the stadium but I am not sure whether the values are always 100% correct. Nearly yes, but not 100% ...
Btw. you can switch to english version if you click on "english" in the upper right corner.

Ah, my knight in shining armour! :P

I'm not sure whether I should go to Germany on my own though, the only german I know is a bit.. foolish, to be honest.

Just drink enough before you pass the borders and you will have no problem ;-)

To see a world cup match live in a stadium is a thing which you only can do every now and then. I did it twice ('74 and '90) - it's unforgettable!
You should take this chance because you never know when the next world cup will be in Europe. Ok, it's Germany but with a lot of beer I think you can tolerate it :-)

I think the solution is:

1. Bring a lot of friends
2. Don't sleep at all
3. Drink shitloads of German beer
4. Watch as many World Cup matches as humanly possible (if not in the stadium, then in a pub.

Damn, I think it could be the summer of a lifetime! :)

We will also have huge video wall party zones, in case you dont catch a ticket.
2005-12-22 11:30:02
and also very good news especially for our English friends: all pubs are allowed to have 24h open during the championship ...

Prost! :)

I went to the WC in France 98, and it was great... but I really would like to go to some WC final, how can someone get tickets for the final? It must be very difficult, right?
2005-12-22 19:39:48
you can buy them now at www.fifaworldcop.com until 15 January 2006. I think the cheapest ticket is 120 Euro.

but this phase will be a draw.

I have a question for Italian coleagues from Rome. Can you suggest any hotel in Rome with costs about 50€ for night (for couple for 5 night less that 500€)?

Do you go there with your male friend? A tip: double bed is cheaper as two separate
