Subject: Hattrick

I played HT for 7 seasons...At hte beginning it was nice...because it was my first game :-)...But arrived Sokker and then my interest to HT decreased a lot because of lakc of indidual tactics, boring matchs to see, too expensive players...Well i stopped this boring game few months ago and i feel nice with Sokker :-)

hattrick isn't that good, but it's a good way to advertis sokker!

Many sokkerusers first played Hattrick (me too) and than changed to sokker.

So keep advertising (discussion about sokker in forums) or joining federations ;))

I think that exposes a big problem. How many people here came from Shattrick? I think it'd be a massive % compared to how many typed in "sokker" into google and found this site, basically because Sokker is a name that no-one outside Poland will ever type into a search engine.

You can also enter keywords like 'free online football manager'. I highly doubt that anybody would use 'Hattrick' as a keyword to search for an online football manager. When you already know of the game you go directly to www.hattrick.org. I also doubt if anybody in Poland would enter 'Sokker' in a search-engine as it isn't a Polish word neither.

And that's why I ask you to slighty advertise sokker in hattrick and to join the www.sokker.org federation.


Hattrick is the place to advertise for sokker...
so use it!

Otherwise there won't be many new users, at least in Switzerland it's a problem to get new users...


And (as you said), most (or at least a big part) of us came from hattrick.

I found Sokker from ad. It was another managergame and i saw this ad. I clicked it and never regret it:D

I'm not on HatTrick anymore. Havent been for a long time.

If Sokker isn't a Polish word why the hell is it being used? It's an awful name

Shattrick is a generic name though, It travels well, looks professional and everyone knows it's a football term. For anyone speaking English, Sokker is badly spelled, looks amatuerish and bloody annoying because everyone here hates the word soccer.

by the way:
if we could get more than 1043 members in the sokker-federation, it would be a top-15 and many people would klick on it...

but I guess there won't be 1043 SK-managers reading this and beeing a plus-user in Hattrick...

I've suggested this in Ireland but i think the only way we'll bring big numbers into this game is by using the social networking sites because the game clearly isn't going to advertise itself in it's current form

You'll still won't enter that word if you're looking for an online football management game unless you're already familiar with that game, but even than you won't.

I know but it's about professionalism. HT sounds professional, Sokker doesnt and until recently, the site design echoed that.

You're absolutely right about that and I've complained about it as well.

Does anyone know why they called it Sokker if it's not a Polish word?

It's the least original part of the game:P
