I agree with everything you said. Thats why you have main skills and secondary skills. Striker is secondary skill for mid as pm and passing are secondary skills for a striker. I would take a 3xsuperdivine striker with 7 side skills over a 5x16 in atack position any day of the week. Twice on Sundays.

anyway what a great player!!!

I played with the Belgian NT for about 8 seasons...
There was 1 similar player which I almost never could use, because he was parking in tragic form for seasons on. But the times he did played, he was very...very dangerous!
Thing is...you need to play him with top strikers, so he functions as a complementary wing attacker. Thing is, back then I mostly played him as ATT because he was still receiving training and played in his team also with ATT order. But I played him a couple of times with MID order, and as I said...he was far better playing than with ATT order.
But he didn't had this high PM level. He was only brilliant, and he had unearthly passing and brilliant defence too. But his paca and striker were only unearthly. I don't recall his tech level...unearthly or divine...dunno anymore.
I see how my 21y old supermid is playing next to the strikers. His opponents are not top level, but neither is he... And still I see his decision making on the highest line to be very accurate in about 75% of the time! I'm a true believer of PM as being overpowered in this ME! Much more than most people believe it is, and certainly much more than Raul and the other devs believe it to be. That's why I was complaining about the PM training restrictions! The order restrictions are of the worst kind in football manager games! It has zero contribution to the immersive feeling a game like this should give to the manager! And it certainly only has disadvantages if you look at the devs vision of ''playing for the highest possible place all the time''!

As I've said, I had this kind of player and played SEASONS with him at highest possible level, not "some games in NT when he had form and I don't remember the skills and the opponents but it was dangerous".

3x superdivine, magical pm&passing at peak. He played as you said - as wing striker/side striker, 90% of time played with MID order (because he trained pass/pm with MID after reaching 3x sdivine). Played next to a 2x superdivine 1x divine / 1x superdivine 2x divine striker.
When I finished his training I actually preferred to use him with ATT order because with MID he wasted too many situations (even 1 v 1 he sometimes decided to pass the ball back to covered other striker or even to pass to a winger). Players in this game are stupid, even high playmaker forwards make stupid decision in front of goal when they play with MID order.

Unearthly pace/tech is not good enough at top level. He will lose too many pace vs pace and tech vs def duels with defenders. And that's the most important part of a forward, to win pace duels for through balls/miscontrolled balls, to win duels for position (so the def attacks from side or behind) and to win dribbling duels. For all of that you need pace&tech and if you lose those duels then the player won't be able to even use his pm&pass.

Yes, PM is very useful. But it's not more useful than pace/tech/striker for a forward.

I fully agree with You !
For ME to generate special events You need to have players that can create and would love to have such player as ATT/MID

Personally in my team I have 2 ATT with high PM skills and am more than happy to watch more realistic game where ATT can pass the ball ;))

Then let's agree to disagree on this one.

Certainly, with the shorter seasons in which triple superdivine strikers and double superdivine defender with lots of sideskills will be around much less than before, these kind of players will have their advantage in the ME. But even still with those beast defenders around, he will play much faster because of high PM (Unearthly or higher). PM is aslo responsible for a player to start running or passing or shooting faster... It's an overpowered skill that makes all other skills better just by supporting them.
Look at the ratings... A triple superdivine striker will have less rating points as that 6 times unearthly striker...for sure! Devs don't see it this way, and maybe you don't either, but PM is the most important skill of all in this ME.
A triple superdivine striker with weak PM plays like a 6 year old! Against weak defenses he will score often, but so does high PM strikers with +- excellent striker.

Abdoulatif Bouba Khadam, age: 24
club: Hullámfarkasok, country: Sénégal
value : 169 100 000 Ft
wage: 2 085 000 Ft
formidable [11] form
magical [15] tactical discipline
height: 191 cm, weight: 93.8 kg, BMI: 25.71

formidable [11] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
incredible [13] pace incredible [13] defender
excellent [10] technique incredible [13] playmaker
outstanding [12] passing good [7] striker

Now he is my one of best defensive midfielder in my team. Well, when we haven't time to train every skills untill level 17, need to balance which skills more important to train. I will push 2 level pace, and I hope the random tackling (in next season need to pop up). I know the market prefer the technique, but I prefer myself to push the playmaking and passing skills much more higher for through passes from the deep at my club team. +4 passing, +4 playmaking, +5 pace in him, 3 one technique. If he reach the level 12 technique I will be happy.

Yacouba Sissoko, age: 22
club: Hullámfarkasok, country: Sénégal
value : 137 100 000 Ft
wage: 1 335 000 Ft
magical [15] form
brilliant [14] tactical discipline
height: 181 cm, weight: 82.5 kg, BMI: 25.18
bookings:
formidable [11] stamina tragic [0] keeper
incredible [13] pace brilliant [14] defender
very good [9] technique formidable [11] playmaker
excellent [10] passing average [5] striker

Sissoko is a similar one, but younger, my training plan will be the same...

They both could use technique, extra def and extra PM...in that order
2024-03-06 17:12:35
They are Defenders
2024-03-06 18:48:55
Rather then defenders now, but in the future...
2024-03-06 19:47:42
They're too slow for defenders...
2024-03-06 21:46:11
they have too low skills for midfielders

for now they are nothing, but they are material for defenders much more than midfielders, as Adaca said
2024-03-06 21:56:38
The moment You stop looking at them as a players from Top10 NT's, they start to looks reasonable on this position ;) Especially Khadam

24 y

Extra 4 pace 4 tecnique 2 pm 3 passing

Magical pace brilliant defance
Brilliant tecnique brilliant playmaker
incredible passing adequate striker

What do you think is the highest skills of this player? im going to pace tecnique and passing to divine?
2024-03-06 22:04:33
Exactly. Not everyone is playing top tier matches. These guys are great subtop midfielders
2024-03-06 22:06:15
I would go for 1 extra level on pace and all other midskills, including defender, to magical
