I'm at work right now but I remember that SO has a import button in his menu, use that one and let me know the result.

I tried it again and it seems to work now :) Looks like I have all my data back. Only thing is that I miss data of 1 week in juniorschool but that's fine, compared to what I was afraid of ;P

No, data is gone again :S Yesterday all was fine, but today I had to import all xml files again to get back the data.

Also yesterday I changed language from to Nederlands but this is also changed back to .

New SO --> import xlm data from your old SO and it should be fine.

What do you mean by new SO? This week I installed SO again from this site http://sk.danny.cl/so/, isn't that the newest version yet?
2011-12-15 20:04:16
Just a question: is your data folder in the same directory than all SO folders? Sometimes, this is the problem.
2011-12-15 20:05:38
I have 3 maps in SO: data, languages and resources

As I don't know if you had already read it, this is what readme files says;

A. English
----------
1.- Install the program by uncompressing the Zip file to a new subdirectory (folder) in your hard drive. Make sure you have full-control access in that subdirectory or SO will not be able to save your team's progress properly.
2.- Install JRE (Java Runtime Environment) version 1.5 (aka Java 5) or later if you don't have it in your system. You can get it from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/
3.- Run the program by double clicking on "so.jar" . If your system is properly configured this shold start the JVM and the program automatically. If NOT: open a console window, navigate to the directory where you installed the program and then type "java -jar so.jar".

Enjoy!

** IMPORTANT **
The installation path cannot have special characters such as [ ]
i.e. this path is valid:
D:\My documents\Sokker

this is NOT:
D:\test[123]\sokker
--------------------------------
Also in overrides .txt file:

#! This file must be in the same location as so.jar in order to work.
#! it will only be read at startup, so if you modify it and have SO
#! running, you will need to restart it.
#! uncomment the overrides to activate them (remove the starting #).

#. fully qualified base URL for version.xml
#UPDATE_BASE_URL=http://sk.danny.cl/so/

#. absolute pathname for new location of .obj savefiles
# backslashes (\) must be escaped with another backslash (like \\)
#. ex.: D:\\My stuff\\games\\sokker\\SO\\data
#DIRNAME_DATA=data

--------------------

Data are currently stored in data/xml
This is: inside data folder there is another folder named xml (and other files .BAK and .OBJ) where data ara stored by SO

I hope this can help you. :)

edit: a little mistake

This is the patch: E:\Online spellen\Sokker\Sokker Organizer, so I don't think anything wrong with this.

The overrides .txt file is in the same location as so.jar

But I don't understand the other things. Do I need to change something? Cause I never did and it always worked. What is this for example?:

#! uncomment the overrides to activate them (remove the starting #).

#. fully qualified base URL for version.xml
#UPDATE_BASE_URL=http://sk.danny.cl/so/

#. absolute pathname for new location of .obj savefiles
# backslashes (\) must be escaped with another backslash (like \\)
#. ex.: D:\\My stuff\\games\\sokker\\SO\\data
#DIRNAME_DATA=data

Oh, and all of the sudden I see all my old players in the Player Stats (in Italic). Can't remember I have seen that before, but it looks strange and I'm not used to this so I think it is something new :P Is it normal to have all the old players in the Player Stats?

Do I need to change something?

I think (I'm not sure) that you have to move old xml files to E:\Online spellen\Sokker\Sokker Organizer\Data\xml

Is it normal to have all the old players in the Player Stats?
Yes. I have mines, too. You can find them in stats tab, listed after your current players (in italic).

But I don't understand the other things. Do I need to change something? Cause I never did and it always worked. What is this for example?:

No, you don't have to change anything, the default settings are fine. That feature is for advanced users who want to customize their data folders' location.

SO is already working fine again on my pc, thanks for answering :)
2013-04-09 15:58:58
Downloaded data isn't saved? Do other also have this problem?
2013-04-09 16:03:58
no problem here, works just fine
2013-09-24 20:47:27
Has anybody experienced any problems tryng to update the team's data?

Since some weeks, a window opens when I try, and a message appears saying that it was no possible to resolve the host "online.sokker.org". I reinstalled SO from zero to test, and the same thing happens :(
