Ah well, my WCQ started with a logical defeat 1-2 to France.
Defense missed 2 best players (I miss 3 of them next week). Offense didn't work well due to too many lost headers upfront.

This is the big problem of teams with few users /limit of very good players/- You need more random next matches ;)

Hmmm yes, but Netherlands won WC 3 seasons ago :) And Spain didn't make it to the last WC.

3 seasons is a lot of time

That's why you have conditionals, to have at least a field player in the goal so the strikers don't shoot on an empty goal each time they can;
(hadn't noticed the goalie injury, does explain a lot of things)

condition slots as you know are not enough you know that better than any keep always one sub in backup is better

Depends also on your injuries. E.g. France got 'lucky' their injury to the GK was late in the play and only slight one or they'd be without sub left as well. But you cannot foresee 3 injuries ...
In case of NL, yeah, maybe they should have saved the subs a little longer. But it's a gamble ...
