Subject: Question about training

2011-02-23 18:55:05
50% means half of a PM-for-MIDs-training in this case

assuming that MIDs get 90% for 1 match and 100% for 2 matches in a week, your trainees would get only 45/50%
2011-02-23 19:01:42
how do you know all these percentages? (in the rules there is nothing about it :S)
2011-02-23 19:05:47
I dont know the 90%, just what the rules say: 90 Minutes means almost, but not really full training. So the 90% are just an assumption like I said.
2011-02-23 19:09:19
and half training for DEFs and MIDs if you train PM or PS for DEFs is what greg said some time ago, and what has been quoted here in the forum, don't remember where exactly :)
2011-02-23 19:19:50
if mean, how can you know the following:
- 10gt=1training
- if we train PM we can split it into 20 trained players receiving a +/-50% of efficiency
- the assistants percentage of efficiency
- and other statistic that came up in Sokker International's forum

and if Greg knows more than us (by what you told me, he knows way more things than us for a while) why the information isn't posted in the rules? or simply why isn't there an official forum with all that "underground knowledge?

2011-02-23 19:24:00
so maximizing training with this order is with 20 mids/defs only getting 45%, playing a second match wouldnt make the 45% into 90%?
2011-02-23 19:30:24
no, if greg is right and there's no bug it would make only 50%
2011-02-23 19:35:50
10gt=1training

that's not an official info, but afaik proven by training data

if we train PM we can split it into 20 trained players receiving a +/-50% of efficiency

that was probably a question from a user taken by a mod to greg (who knows more because he's developing the code), that's just our mod job :) and we don't keep "underground knowledge" secret, but sometimes we only communicate answers from greg in forums, and I admit the rules aren't as up to date as they could be.

the assistants percentage of efficiency

nowbody knows, at least not me
2011-02-23 19:37:23
that sucks. would have had good implications for weeks when im in the champs cup or late stage cup games playing starters a second time =D
2011-02-23 19:38:36
PM and PS are genuine MID skills, so it wouldn't be realistic if there would be an advantage training them for DEFs ;)
2011-02-23 19:38:47
so it's up to us to discover it ?
2011-02-23 19:43:20
yep some things are up for us to discover or to stay uncertain, greg will never tell it - like assistants effect or % of training for 1 match per week
2011-02-23 19:45:41
i have currently an incredible assistant should i get more of these or even better? could you answer by balacing efficiency and cost (knowing that i'm a "small team)...

2011-02-23 19:59:06
i would argue defending is a genuine DEF skill, and dont see why this 'realisticness' isnt applied the same way to training defenders to ATT or MID =P

but it is the way it is, ill train PM in MID and crosstrain the defenders in PM for now
2011-02-23 20:18:27
ok so basically when training PM or Passing for DEF.

there is a % split between DEF and MID.

for examples sake say it is 60% effective for DEF and 40% for MID (its quoted here as 50/50 but nobody actually knows the exact split - if someone works it out let us know!)

also assuming here that league+cup games (official) give 85% training, Friendlies give 75%

Playing a league match with 5 DEF and 5 MID in 5-5-0 formation

the 5 defenders will get 85% training. 5 mids get 85% training. now this is then split in the above fashion. 60% effective for DEF and 40% effective for mids.

so the 5 defenders get 60% of 85% - 51% training.
an the 5 midfieldrs get 40% of 85% - 34% training.

Note here the total % training for the 10 players is 85% so its just split between the 10 players instead of the usual 5 if training PM or Passing for MID.

Playing in friendlies, this 60/40 ratio is multiplied by 75% instead. with smaller training amoutns even.

does that mean if i play the same orders in friendly and league, thats the way to get 100% for both mid and defs?

no. From the rules sure. playing 2 games results in 100% effective training.
however as from the ratios above. this is split 60/40 for DEF and MID.

so Defenders will get 60% of 100% training = 60%
an Midfieldrs will get 40% of 100% training = 40%

20 different players, 10 misd and 10 defs in both matches, i can train 20 people at 50%?

this is pretty accurate. once again the % for each game comes into effect.
so in league games
so the 5 defenders get 60% of 85% - 51% training.
an the 5 midfieldrs get 40% of 85% - 34% training.

in friendlies its 75% instead of 85% which gives a lower amount.

problems with this? well you have 20 wages instead of 10 trainees and the effectiveness of the training is the same.
in the end you have 20 medioocre trainees instead of 10 awesome ones.

solution?
train your passing and PM with MID orders. 5 each game resulting in each of these getting a higher % training and ending up class.
problems with doing this? well if its a defender in the defensive line he will pause to pick out an attacking option instead of just clearing it anywhere. strikers can tackle and be through on goals. i recommend wing backs as MID order if anything.. or just put the defender as a defensive mid so he has cover, and train mainly mids with the orders.. its why defenders mainly end up high pace and defender skills

i have currently an incredible assistant should i get more of these or even better?

I've no idea about an exact cost-benefit ratio, but I would always install 3 well balanced assistants, as it's common assumption that 3 adequate assistants (3x6) have a quite similar effect as a superdivine (18) but are much cheaper.
