Subject: »9200 managers in Sokker!

The number will increase soon. This is the best manager in the world (in my opinion) ... I have tried them all.

I agree...this is the best online manager so far...but I doubt it that we will see its glory years coming back

Biggest problem is the way people live nowadays...
Too much rushed for a slower game like this...
People want results within eyesight.

The bigger problem is that it's impossible to join this game now and achieve anything. There's an incredible difference between top10 in Poland etc. and newcomers. They would have to play for...dunno, 10 years? To try to achieve something. In other words - what's the point:)

The bigger problem is that most people think they cannot achieve anything more.

Nobody achieved all targets at once. Season by season, step by step, anybody can have a lot of fun with the game.
First season making a team of young trainees, second season make some money, third season train some U21 players, 4th season getting promoted etc This can be a very big list.

It´s a matter of mentality, of how to set measurable season-targets and then everybody who starts the game stays on it.

Yes, but poland is one country in how many??? I guess poland has the problem of a huge database of rich teams as you say, which is stopping your progress. But for instance Denmark, and numerous other countries, has first league promotion as achievable within 6-7 seasons. Smaller countries has that reachable within 1-2 seasons, but nobody to play with. So the market potential is different for each country regarding that.

But in this game, it is possible to make a 70+ mark team within 7 seasons and still having something to train on, so i dont think other peoples progress is the problem, if you were so competetive that you had to be one of the best.

There are a lot of problems we can sum up, but the main three issues in my opinion, is that the game is not very compatible with being used on smartphones/tablets where the market is now, and a non existing marketing department. And the fact that greg never does anything more or let people run his game for him. (which maybe could have lead to a fixing of the first two main issues)

Much of the new market is fast easy games, costing 2-5 euro, toshed away after yes. But i personally believe, that if sokker was more adapted to the new market, there was still possibilites of getting 30-50k bigger consistent userbase. Because, whereas the market when sokker was big, was more slow browser games, the number of people playing games, was also significantly lower.

Back when i started in 2009, people also said sokker was too slow.

i agree that sokker should adapt to the new markets when it comes to tablets and smartphones.

but when it comes to how slow the game is, i do have a different oppinion.
I think the game is as fast at it should be based on complex it is.
If you would have matches every day, the players would be sold/buyed faster and so on..than not all people would be able to keep up. They whould have to spend a considerable amount of hours/day online.

I agree with you. I only talk about how accessable it is from tablets and smartphones... :)
2017-08-10 11:29:27
yes, making it available for tablets and/or smartphones would be a big plus. but since the owners have lost their interest...i don't think there is much we can do

Only way to make this game alive would be to completely reset it (for example make sokker 2.0, new server), fix all the bugs, convert it to a mobile game with much better design etc.

they tried doing it with IFM, but they completely failed because they didn't know what they were doing
they made it a pay-to-play game which is absurd for a game nobody heard of
they design was outdated, the gameplay barely interesting

anyway, they already abandoned even the IFM. Last news: march 2016, last game update: april 2015

we have to be happy we still have the game as it is think positive its still the best
2017-08-10 16:19:41
i do think is the best that is why i came back after 5 year. but at the same time we know it can be so much better. So enjoy what you have and be thankful for it, but aim for better

I dont believe a reset would help any, as you would lose the userbase on it, and then you would have to start from scratch. I believe there is something in this game, that with mobile programming added, and marketing and active development, from people using time on it, could make the userbase grow. If you where to make a new game, with everybody starting from scratch, you would lose 10k loyal customers and thereby all the traffic on site that could attract others.

But everybody has their beliefs, there is no Only way to make this game alive would be

But i guess we agree that we need active development in some way to not be the last one standings in the end...
