There is as much chance of this happening as there is of me becoming a Man U fan but i'll suggest it anyway.
There are currently 94 national leagues in this game, one for each nation. My idea is the creation of a separate league that has no nationality boundaries. Essentially a world league that any team could play in.
When teams register to play in this game, they could choose the league of their nationality or they could choose the world league. (Maybe) for teams already in the game, they can be transferred into the world league (and replaced by a bot/new club) in their national league. Clubs would still be of their nationality, youths would still be pulled for their country, they would simply be in a league outside their country.
This idea came to me for two reasons. Firstly I was looking at my National Champions Association league and thinking how good it would be if all there top teams could play each other at a competitive level. Secondly, i was speaking to someone recently and they were saying how their league wasnt offering them any competition and that they were considering weakening their team to help the competition. I think sometimes the top teams need a bit more competition.

I sincerely hope so. This would utterly ruin small countries. They would not get new users - why go for the 50 team nation when you can sign up for a nicely filled global competition? To make it even worse, it would mean there would be even more bots in competitions as teams would leave. A very, very bad idea. (Sorry.)

all those fiddly little countries are a mistake in my opinion
Yes, but the league would be for the countrys who has less then 10 users (ore more):) now SK has 9 countrys with less then 10 users.
